Author’s bio:
Vivek Menon is a wildlife conservationist biologist, environmental commentator, author and photographer with a passion for elephants. He has been involved in founding five environmental and conservation organisations in India.
Currently an Honorary Wildlife Warden of Delhi, he is the author of eight wildlife books, including the bestselling Field Guide to Mammals of India, scores of technical reports and more than a hundred articles in various scientific and popular publications. 

Vivek Menon is also a member of several IUCN SSC Specialist Groups including the Rhino, the Elephant and Re-introduction Specialist Groups.

One of the Founders of Wildlife Trust of India, he is currently the organisation’s Executive Director and CEO. He is also the Regional Director of South-Asia, International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) and Advisor to the President and CEO of IFAW.
